Ward Picnic!!

Hey Yosemite Ward! We've had a slight change in the activity coming up this Saturday:

Ward Picnic!

When: Saturday, April 12th, 9am-12pm

Where: Del Valle Reservoir in Livermore

How: We will be meeting at the Chester Building parking lot at 9am to carpool there!

What's going to happen: We will be playing wiffle ball, ultimate frisbee, football, having a picnic (we'll provide food, you provide the hunger) and there will be no hike...the trails there aren't all that exciting...and maybe for some of you eager beavers, swimming in the lake!

What to Bring: Yourselves, friends, sunscreen (it's going to be 89 degrees that day according to Weather.com), sunglasses, swimsuits if you would like, blankets, and your amazing spirits!

And now for a blog entry that DOES NOT sound like a sci-fi movie trailer...

Tonight we have a Multi-Regional Activity in Merced! It starts at 6pm at the Merced Stake Center (1080 E. Yosemite Ave, Merced CA 95340) Yahoo maps is amazing to use.

It is a Mideval themed activity, and people are encouraged to dress up, but you don't have too if you don't want too. They won't kick you out, I promise.

Dinner will be served, games will be played, dancing will....happen, and much more!

Carpools will meet:

Tracy: Chester Building at 4:30pm

Manteca: Northland Building at 5pm.

Dinner...

There is dinner tonight at the northland building. I'm not sure when,
I'm not sure what, I'm not sure of anything, but I have faith that
some sort of dinner will be served by some sort of non-me leadership.
I think I vaugly remember some stranger said something about itallian
food, and then mind controlled me into passing around a signup sheet
or something. I don't even know. Maybe they just forced me to iron
their clothes, while I modeled them. That would go a long way towards
explaining these terrible burns on 90% of my body, but focused mainly
around that pesky collar area. I wonder if mom knew that would happen
when she said I had better get good at ironing my own clothes...

Also, after dinner we are getting together to watch a movie at my
place. Perhaps the simpsons that movie.

Italian Dinner Night at the Stake Center!

Don't forget tomorrow (2/22) is the Italian Dinner the Stake Activities Comittee is putting on!

It's going to be fantastic! There will be plenty of food and dancing to last for a long time! It starts at 7pm at the Stake Center!

Manteca high school 7:00 pm. I can only assume in the movihill theater
building (on the east side of the campus) there will be a who's line
is it anyway thing. Its free, and should be something fun to do of a
Friday night. At least one of our ward will be there! It should be a
good time...

Institute!

Tomorrow evening is an another wonderful class of institute!

Starts at 7pm in Stockton, goes till 8:40, soccer afterwards, bring your scriptures, and be ready to be uplifted!

Baptism Time Changed!

Just a little heads up! The baptism time for Moises has changed a bit since President Hinckley's funeral was announced. It will be right after the funeral at the Chester Building. Manteca people, still come! The baptism won't likely start till at least a half hour after the funeral has ended.

Spirit Fingers?

There's a group of us are planning on going to the mens stake basketball game tonight to cheer on our ward!

If you would like to join, we're meeting at the stake center stage at 8:45 to get ready to watch our ward play at 9pm!

Men's basketball starts Thursday evening at the Northland Building!

That's right.

Yosemite ward is scheduled to play at 9pm against Northland ward. They are in need of referees from our ward for the 8pm game of Tracy vs. Lathrop.

If you know how to call the shots and are interested in being a ref, contact Danny W., the ward sports director. He'll hook ya up. They said if we don't produce refs for the 8pm game, we forfeit playing at 9pm. And also, If we don't show up to play our own game at 9pm, we forfeit playing for the rest of the year. Sounds pretty serious.

So Brethren, lets get the team together!

And girls, if you want to, you can totally show up there and be cheerleaders. :)

Fhe is schedualed for Monday night this week. I know that will
surprise everyone:P same time as always, its going to be in Tracy, and
we will be playing a sport mainly. (dodgeball? That's my favorite:)
also planned, is a spiritual thought/ lesson, and partaking in
eachothers spirit and company. Be there or be an ideal quadrilateral!

Stake Conference!

Don't forget, on Sunday we don't have our regular block schedule meetings because we have Stake Conference!

Starting tomorrow evening, (Saturday, 1/5) at 7pm we have the adult session at the Stake Center.

Then, on Sunday (1/6), we have Stake Conference starting at 10am and going until noon!

Hope to see you all there! Make sure to get there early to get good seats!

Baptisms Anyone?

Tomorrow we have our baptism trip! First one of '08! We are meeting at the temple at 7pm. I haven't heard any word of a carpool yet, but if I do, I will post it immediately.

Also, tomorrow's weather for the Central Valley/Bay Area here is going to be pretty bad. Apparently, we've got the storm of the century moving in tomorrow afternoon and lasting through friday. For those of you who plan on driving, Oakland has got wind advisories for tomorrow evening for winds up to 40 mph and there's going to be soaking rain. Make sure you pack as many people at you (legally) can in your car to provide weight and make sure your tire treads are thick, because it sounds like it'll be bad. :)
